Yonis Abdulkadir, Country Director of Global Health Alliance, delivered a powerful closing address at the DynaMed training completion ceremony at Red Sea University in Bosaso, emphasizing the transformative potential of investing in Somalia’s future healthcare leaders.

He highlighted the critical importance of providing Somali medical students with access to modern clinical tools like DynaMed, which strengthens evidence-based decision-making and elevates the standard of care they can provide to their communities. This access represents more than just technology—it’s about ensuring equity in healthcare education and removing barriers that have historically limited opportunities for Somali healthcare professionals.

“Today, we have witnessed students with vision, knowledge, and immense potential. What they need is the right support and resources,” Yonis stated. “Global Health Alliance remains committed to empowering Somali youth to become the future leaders of our country’s healthcare system.”

This training embodies GHA’s mission to build healthcare capacity from within communities rather than imposing external solutions. By ensuring that the next generation of Somali medical professionals has access to the same evidence-based resources available to healthcare providers worldwide, we’re creating conditions for true healthcare transformation.

The initiative bridges the gap between modern medical knowledge and local healthcare delivery, strengthening Somalia’s healthcare infrastructure from within. These students will address the complex health challenges facing their communities with both cultural understanding and evidence-based expertise, creating the foundation for sustainable healthcare improvement.

Through investments like this, GHA continues demonstrating that when communities control their own healthcare development and have access to quality resources, they can build systems that truly serve their people’s needs.
