We’re thrilled to share highlights from our transformative two-day DynaMed training held February 20-21, 2025 at the University of Bossaso. With over 85 participants, including 81 women and 4 men, this training brought together midwives, nurses, and social workers united in their commitment to improving healthcare in their communities.

This remarkable gathering reflects Global Health Alliance’s mission to center women’s leadership in healthcare transformation. The overwhelming participation of women healthcare professionals demonstrates the power of constituency-led change, where those most affected by health disparities lead the solutions.

By providing access to evidence-based clinical decision-support tools, we’re equipping these future healthcare leaders with resources that will directly improve maternal and newborn outcomes across Somalia. The DynaMed platform ensures that care decisions are grounded in the latest medical research, bridging the gap between global medical knowledge and local healthcare delivery.

This training embodies our commitment to building sustainable healthcare capacity within Somali communities. When we invest in training local providers, particularly women who understand their communities’ unique needs, we create lasting change that extends far beyond any single intervention.

Watch the video to witness the impact this training has had on empowering these dedicated healthcare professionals who will transform care in their communities.

Special recognition goes to Yonis Abdulkadir, GHA Super Champion and Country Director, along with our partners at KidsCare Everywhere, for making this vital training possible. Together, we’re building the foundation for healthcare systems designed by and for the people they serve.
